Child Assault Prevention
The Child Assault Prevention (CAP) program is an international prevention program designed to teach children how to exercise their rights to be "safe, strong and free". CAP uses role play and guided group discussion to teach children how to recognize potentially dangerous situations and how to implement effective safety strategies. The content of the workshops covers bullying (peer assault), assault by a stranger, and sexual assault by a known individual. The program stresses communication, self-assertion, peer support, and reporting skills as practical prevention techniques.
All workshops are presented in the classroom with a teacher present. Available to Grade
Levels: If interested in scheduling a workshop, please call 609-695-3739.
