Help Us in the Office

If you have office experience and you’re available 5 – 10 hours a week, consider providing administrative support at our offices during business hours. Maintaining important files, researching grants, entering data,  assembling educational materials for school programs, and helping with mailings and special projects are just a few opportunities to help with our administrative needs.

Volunteer for an Event

PEI Kids has special events and fundraisers throughout the year and volunteers are always needed the day of the event as well as on event committees to help with planning and preparation. In addition, we exhibit at community fairs and events during the year and we welcome volunteers to help at our exhibit table with handing out literature, giveaways, and discussing PEI Kids’ programs.

Support the Enough Abuse Campaign

The Enough Abuse Campaign is a child abuse prevention initiative and its goal is to educate every adult who lives and/or works in the Greater Mercer area in how to prevent child sexual abuse.

Become a Presenter

The Campaign is successful because of volunteer presenters — individuals who participate in a two-day training program and make a commitment to present 2-3 community workshops each year. If you’re a confident presenter, this is a wonderful opportunity to live your values by teaching members of your community important skills for keeping children safe.

Become an Advocate

You can support the Enough Abuse Campaign in your community by hanging campaign posters — announcing the availability of free, Enough Abuse workshops — and by distributing flyers at local organizations and businesses which you frequent.  These advocacy efforts help raise awareness and advance the goal of the Enough Abuse Campaign.

Host a Workshop

If you belong to an organization, faith-based, affinity or community group, consider hosting an Enough Abuse workshop. These free community workshops provide valuable information on child development, child sexual abuse prevention, child-safety standards for youth-serving organizations, and a range of other topics which can be customized for your group.
